National Science And Technology development In Kenya

This is an on-going project with initial funding from UNESCO of US$ 25,000. The aim is to develop a new science, technology and innovation for Kenya.

The objective of the project is to collect data and information from the stakeholders in Kenya and in the international literature with a view to assessing the Kenya Government’s policy on science, technology and innovation.

The project is conducted by

  • The Centre for Science Technology and Innovation (CSTI)
  • The Kenya National Academy of Sciences and
  • The National Council for Science and Technology.

Class Session

Tasks accomplished include a review of the practice of science, technology and innovation in Kenya, stakeholders meeting which gave several recommendations. A report of the stakeholders’ meeting is under preparation.
